Named after a delicate spring butterfly found throughout central and southern Europe decorated in colors of the Czech flag, Festoon is a Czech style light lager. Using floor malted bohemian malt we created a well-rounded lager balancing both a solid grain backbone and crisp hop character. Served with a twist of lime, Michoacan Mexican lager is a celebration of the millions of Monarch butterflies that migrate to central Mexico's Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve every year. Monarchs make their overwinter home among the fir forests, "bending tree branches with their collective weight, filling the sky when they take flight, and making a sound like light rain with the beating of their wings." The red-orange, intricately-patterned and serrated wings of the Red Lacewing butterfly reflect the characteristics of our inaugural amber ale.
